more carrot photos to come
I saw a chef do a clear candy shell/coating on some food once ( I think it was on Chopped) ...I cannot remember what it was...but I remembered that idea and wanted to try it. NOT as easy as I had hoped. I thought it might be pretty on carrots to give them kind of an icicle look....they are cooling at the moment. will have to see how they look ....may need to try again. I followed the recipe I had, but I could not work fast enough before the liquid cooled so much that it was TOO sticky ...my hats off to sugar artists and pastry chefs and any other chef who do this and do this WELL!!! Keep your fingers crossed....photos soon to come!
